The 9th Purley Scout Group is part of Croydon District and consists of a Beaver Colony, a Cub Pack and a Scout Troop. As part of the community of St John the Baptist Church in Purley, just south of Croydon, all our indoor meetings are held in the well equipped church hall.
Young people, aged 6 - 14 years, can fully participate in all the fun, activities, adventure and challenge that Scouting provides. We have a well funded group and regularly take part in many District and County Scouting events.
Adult volunteers are very welcome and there are many rewarding opportunities to take an active part in the development of our community.
Membership is open to people of all faiths and backgrounds. Please check our section pages for availability of places and for information about becoming an Adult Volunteer.
All of our parents are asked to help the Section or the Group in any way possible by serving on the committee or helping to run Section meetings and events.
